We are looking for something which goes beyond a ‘regular video registration of a circusperformance’. We’re looking for creative circus artists and designers to create something NEW and FRESH that brings circus to life in a digital/online way.
So do you have an interactive idea for this online circus experience?
It can involve a performance, a game, a podcast, something with augmented reality, a VR-experience, an animation, a corona proof installation or something completely out of the box. We love something that can go ‘viral’!
Fase 1: drop your idea!
Do you have an idea for a concept? Pitch yourself and your idea to us with a video of max 3 minutes or in an email with your idea and motivation. You can make this pitch as elaborate of simple as you like. But: be quick! Deadline is 30th of November at noon.
Fase 2: Get 1000€ to develop your idea into a concrete concept
The best ten ideas get 1000€ per applicant/group to develop the idea further into a concept. To create a feasible concept you’ll research further the concept/story, technical requirements and propose a budget, planning, and more.
Fase 3: get 5000€-10.000€ to create your concept
From the ten concepts we’ll choose one or two actually realize with a budget of max. 10.000€ to launch during Circusstad Festival 2021.
FAQ: Rules? Not so many!
We invite people from different backgrounds to apply: circus artists but also e.g. designers, visual artists, as long as the idea involves circus, and gives the audience a great live/online/digital/interactive circus experience. You’re working as a professional and you are based in the Netherlands.
