Sisuksen mentorointihanke ‘Sirius Issues’ on suunnattu nuorille, uransa alussa oleville taiteilijoille ja ryhmille. Hanke toteutetaan toteutetaan vuoden 2022 aikana. Tarjoamme sekä taiteellista että tuotannollista tukea ja mentorointia eri aihealueiden parissa, riippuen hankkeeseen valikoituneiden mentoroitavien tarpeista. Nämä tarpeet ja toiveet tullaan räätälöimään yhdessä mentorien ja mentoroitavien välillä projektin alkuvaiheessa.
Sisus on suomalainen viiden naisen vuonna 2014 muodostama nykysirkusryhmä. Nämä lapsuudenystävät ovat alkujaan nuorisosirkuksen kasvatteja, joita on aina yhdistänyt erikoislaatuinen huumorintaju sekä rakkaus sirkukseen. Sisuksen perustajäseniä ovat Inka Pehkonen, Rosa Tyyskä, Milla Lahtinen, Sofia Defour sekä Iida Sipilä.

Jos olet sirkustaiteilija tai sirkuskollektiivi urasi alkuvaiheessa, voit lähettää meille hakemuksesi. Kerro hakemuksessasi miksi haet mukaan hankkeeseen, mitä toiveita sinulla on ja minkälaista mentorointitukea juuri sinä haluaisit (enintään 1 A4-sivu).
Liitä mukaan myös ansioluettelosi (CV) sekä mahdollinen linkki nettisivuille. Laita hakemukseen myös linkiksi videomateriaalia taiteellisesta työskentelystä sekä kerro mistä kuulit mentorointihankkeesta.

SIRIUS ISSUES MENTORING ROUND 2 | OPEN CALL
Sisus Sirkus is offering artistic and productional mentoring for artistic companies (solo artists or group), who are in the beginning of their career. Two artists and the producer of Sisus will give support in different subjects depending on the needs of the Mentee(s).
WHO WE ARE
Sisus is a contemporary circus company from Finland. Originally it was founded by five childhood friends who met at youth circus, grew up together sharing their lives both on and off stage and most importantly were unified by a great sense of humour. Throughout the years the company has grown and more members have joined (and been born into) the Sisus family, as the motto of the company goes ’More is more’. With Sisus the dream of an own circus company has become reality. Since 2014 they have done several projects as a company, and in August 2016 they premiered their first full length outdoor show Mosh Split. Currently Sisus is creating a new show, ’Memoirs of Mud‘. The Mentors in the mentoring program are Inka Pehkonen (artist, Handstand, Washington Trapeze), Rosa Tyyskä (artist, Cyr Wheel) and Farina Berndt (Producer).
WHAT WE OFFER
We will share our knowledge from running an artistic company and productional expertise.
During the program (6 months in 2022) we offer you zoom sessions. Based on your needs we will together specify the subjects of the sessions. We give you support and answer questions concerning subjects like: budget, funding, creation process, residencies, touring, marketing and much more.
HOW TO APPLY
If you are an artist or an artistic company based in Europe and in the beginning of your career you can send us your application. The application should include a text, in which you outline why you apply for the program, what you would like to get out of the mentoring program and in which way we should support you (max 1 A4 page), a video link to your artistic work and your CV(s) until the 31.03.22.
