Welcome to a seminar focusing on mentorship especially in the field of dance and choreography in the Nordic countries. What are the benefits and possibilities of mentoring in the Nordic arts field, especially in dance art? What kind of experiences artists and producers have of mentorship? What type of mentorship is needed? How does mentorship in the arts differ from mentorship in other fields?
The seminar invites to discuss mentorship from two perspectives: 1) the mentoring for artists in the field of dance and choreography, and 2) mentoring for arts managers and producers, with a case example of Nordic Circle of Artistic Management. We also present the fresh Swedish book Mentoring Toolbox – for Artists.
Welcome to discuss, meet partners and colleagues. The seminar is free of charge and open for everyone interested, but registration is required. Please register to the seminar no later than 25.8.2019.

Mentorointi taiteissa – seminaari 3.9.2019
Tervetuloa seminaariin mentoroinnista erityisesti tanssitaiteen alalla Pohjoismaissa. Mitä mahdollisuuksia mentoroinnin alalla on pohjoismaisella taidekentällä, erityisesti tanssitaiteessa? Millaisia kokemuksia mentoroinnista on taiteilijoilla ja taiteen tuottajilla? Millaista mentorointia tarvitaan? Miten taiteen mentorointi eroaa muiden alojen mentoroinnista?
Päivässä keskustellaan mentoroinnista kahdesta eri näkökulmasta: 1) tanssitaiteilijoiden mentoroinnista ja 2) tanssin ja taiteen alojen tuottajien mentoroinnista, esimerkkinä Nordic Circle of Artistic Management -hankkeen kokemukset. Seminaarissa esitellään myös uunituore ruotsalainen Mentoring Toolbox – for Artists -julkaisu.
