The team of the 2019 Performing Arts Festival Berlin wishes you all a happy new year and a good time during the fourth edition of the PAF 2019 from May 28 to June 2, 2019.
We look forward to diverse schedule of programming that makes clear how vibrant and active and especially how significant the independent performing arts community is for the cultural life of the city. All participating artists and performance venues in the city will be offered the opportunity to meet local and (inter)national audience and enter into exchanges with them. For the 4th edition of the Berlin Performing Arts Festival, all professional Berlin performance venues and event locations within the independent performing arts community are warmly invited to participate in the creation of the schedule of programming for the festival with productions and events created by Berlin-based artists, artist collectives and groups.
In order to participate in the Open Submissions platform, we ask the respective performance venues and event locations to complete a simple PDF form available online and submit it to the email address provided. Artists groups who would like to present site-specific work or productions that take place in public space should contact the festival team directly. The submission deadline for the Open Call for the Open Submissions platform is January 15, 2019. All additional information is located on our website and within the FAQs.
Alongside a comprehensive primary schedule of programming, numerous events will again be offered for visiting industry professionals from throughout Germany and abroad. The event Berlin Diagonale – Show Camp and the newcomer’s platform Introducing… continue to form a special focus within the festival’s schedule of programming. The application deadline is January 15, 2019.
