Partners and Collaboration

We value care and value our partners, and are always happy to share our ideas and expertise. We put a lot of effort in international and domestic collaboration. We play an active role in several international and domestic networks working in the field of circus and performing arts.

Collaboration

Baltic Nordic Circus Network is a collaborative network of 14 circus art organizations in the Baltic and Nordic countries. The network aims to strengthen the regional collaboration and develops the circus art field in the Baltic Sea region for example by arranging workshops and meetings for the artists and other circus professionals in the region. CircusInfo Finland was the coordinator for the network in 2014–2016. In 2017 Swedish organization Manegen took over the coordinating responsibilities. The network has received support from the Nordic Cultural Fund and The Nordic Culture Point.

The network activities include workshops for e.g. artists, producers and developers, writers and journalists, circus safety professionals as well as network members’ meetings in the region.

Nordic Women in Circus Network

Established in 2017, the Nordic Women in Circus Network wants to create a connection between the women in circus arts. The Network aims to raise awareness on the challenges related to the status of women in circus and by extension to the role of women in society at large. The network organizes activities that give opportunities to female circus artists and other interested parties to share, discuss, gain knowledge, develop and strengthen critical reflections on the agency of women in circus and other related topics. The Network has members from 23 countries. Its activities are organized in the Nordic countries with support from the Nordic Culture Fund and the Nordic Culture Point in 2017–18. CircusInfo Finland co-operates in the activities organized in Finland.
