Iltamat

H-Kollektiivi

Once upon a time, there was a brood of three sisters and two brothers from a small town in Northern Finland. Their father wanted them to be engineers when they would grow up. And what did they become? Artists, of course! Olli, Anni, Maiju, Liisa and Eetu Heikkinen were raised in suburban houses in different parts of Kemi. After their childhood gymnastics and music classes, they have chosen their own paths and now the brood includes two grown-up musicians, two dancers and one circus artist.

In Iltamat (Soirée), we can have a peek at the childhood of the siblings, their adventures, play and shared experiences that have shaped them as individuals and made them the artists that they are today. The strong bond does not remain only on stage, as the Heikkinens invite the audience on a wonderful journey where every spectator can feel the power of doing things together.

Today’s society seems divide into smaller and smaller communities and opposing camps. H-kollektiivi wants to offer a chance to leave social controversies behind for a moment and return to the safe 1990s suburb in Kemi for a while to enjoy the carefree life and the warmth of the community.
