Northmän (Pohjolan Äijä) is a location specific contemporarycircus show that explores the Finnish folk religion through live music, juggling, dance, performance and physical theatre elements. The show got its inspiration from ancient and modern indo-european shamanism, books of Kaarle Krohn and the old folk beliefs that have survived to this day. Northmän is always performed outside in the forest where our folk religion resonates from.
