Body, space, movement. At once shared and timeless and yet deeply personal. Edge is a vertical rope performance that draws on aerial acrobatics and the contemporary dance to investigate notions of spectacle, illusion and how they can be shattered. The rope creates a space for the performer within which knots of the mind turn into physical actions and embodied experiences. Step by step, the performance strips down spectacle, re-creates magic, lending it a new guise, peeling away at it, layer by layer, until the very core.
