Chevalier is a solo contemporary circus show based on the world of the traditional horse circus shows. However, this time the acts are performed with hobby horses!
The show includes traditional circus disciplines such as acrobatics, juggling, balancing and clownery – all performed with the unparalleled style of Kalle Lehto saturated with humor and the movement quality of a breakdancer.
Besides the hobby horses, short clips of “silent movies” play a significant role in the show. The movies show the life of the circus director after the curtain is closed. And just like in the old days, where the first silent movies were shown specifically in circuses, Kalle Lehto plays the music and sound effects of the movies live on stage.
The music consists of original compositions by Sami Tammela and the songs combine the musical world of traditional circuses with electronic elements and instruments.
Chevalier is the 3rd part of Kalle Lehto's trilogy of circus shows for children - following the highly popular "Around - Ympäri ämpäri" and "Circles - Kommellusten kabaree".
