Wise Fools

Wise Fools is a Finnish circus trio formed by Maria Peltola, Ronja Vilponen and Valpuri Kaarninen. They are specialized in triple trapeze and skipping ropes. The trio started circus as a hobby in a Finnish youth circus Sorin Sirkus. During their childhood they experimented with several different disciplines but they started to collaborate on the triple trapeze and with the skipping ropes. In 2010 the trio participated in the European Youth Circus Festival in Wiesbaden and that's where they found their motivation to turn their hobby into a profession and apply to Ècole Superieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Brussels. They went on to graduate from ESAC in 2014 with a triple trapeze number. During the three years they developed a style where two catchers swing and toss one flyer. In January 2015 they won with their work a silver medal at the prestigious Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris.
