Gross, Grete

As main discipline I work on aerial hammock, but my deep interest is in combining circus with other art forms such as visual art and poetry. I like to work solo and in smaller groups on creation of contemporary circus performances.

I'm fascinated by different materials and the shapes they allow me to create to see what they awake within people. And which memories these shapes, materials and touch or movement create in them. The tissue is flexible as it falls, rigid under pressure, strong when tied into a knot and soft when it is flying freely. My job is to become one with the material and tell my story through it.
