Performing HEL 2021 Showcase Coming in Autumn 2021!

Performing HEL is the one and only showcase dedicated to Finnish performing arts – circus, dance, theatre and everything in between. The third edition of the showcase will be held September 2–5, 2021 in Helsinki, Finland in tandem with the Helsinki Festival.

In 2019 Performing HEL brought together over 75 international and Finnish presenters, programmers, theatre and festival directors to experience four days full of performing arts from Finland. Almost thirty Finnish dance, theatre and circus artists and companies presented their work through pitch, demo and performance program.

In 2021 the Performing HEL showcase will be again organised by Dance Info Finland and CircusInfo Finland in collaboration with Helsinki Festival, The Finnish National Theatre, The Swedish Theatre, Espoo City Theatre and Theatre Info Finland.

Four days of stage full of Finnish performing art greatness

We truly hope we’ll be able to gather in sunny Helsinki in September 2021. The registration for Finnish and international presenters and programmers will start in February 2021. The showcase will stay small and intimate so that the atmosphere is more “like a creative family rather than a formal event” (feedback from 2019).

This time Performing HEL will be online too! We will offer a possibility to register to the event as an online participant. We will let you know more about this feature later so stay tuned.

The open call for Finnish dance, theatre and circus artists and companies will start in November. The program of Performing HEL 2021 will be published online in March 2021. While waiting for more news you might want to take a look at the fabulous new website of the showcase: www.performinghel.fi
