Berlin Circus Festival is coming closer!

One of the highlights of the year for us, Berlin Circus Festival, is coming closer. Meet us and the Finnish artists at Tempelhof Field between 25th of August and 3rd of September. Finnish contemporary circus artists will be performing, attending residency program and giving workshops. The festival is expected to reach around 5000 visitors. Festival partners with Finnland-Institut in Deutschland.

Circus artist Sasu Peistola from Finnish company Agit-Cirk has been selected for festival’s residency targeted for Finnish circus company or artist. Sasu Peistola will be working on with a solo piece called Väkevä and a demo from the performance can be seen at the festival’s work-in-progress night on 31st of August.

Finnish artists will also be giving workshops both for professionals and beginners during the festival. Read more about the workshops from the festival’s website

CircusInfo Finland organises a study trip for Finnish circus artists and producers to introduce them to Berlin circus scene. Study trip participants are artist and producer Kaito Takayama from Duo D’Lyh, artist Susanna Liinamaa from Race Horse Company, artist Maria Peltola from Wise Fools and producer Sari Lakso who is working both for Kallo Collective and Cie Nuua. In addition to the official program of the festival the study trip participants have an opportunity to visit local venues.
