Starting from the beginning of the year 2004 he has been rewarded with a 5-year artist grant from the Finnish government.

In year 1996 together with Jani Nuutinen he found the first contemporary circus company in Finland: Circo Aereo. Circo Aereo is currently functioning in Finland and France with multiple productions in its touring schedule. Since the beginning Circo Aereo has played in Finland, Sweden, Norway, France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Hungary and Canada.

As a performer he has also worked with two of the most renowned juggling companies in Europe: Compagnie Jérôme Thomas in France (production Milkday, 2003-2004) and Gandini Juggling Project in England (production Septet2 in 1998).

Komaro has given workshops in many of the most prolific circus schools in Europe, such as Centre National des Arts du Cirque in Chalons-en-Champagne, France, Circus Space in London and in Sweden for Cirkus Cirkör's CirkusPiloterna where he served as a full-time teacher of juggling and object manipulation 2000-2001.

He is also one of the founders of 531 Festival of New and Experimental Juggling in Helsinki Finland, an annual international event devoted to the idea of juggling and object manipulation as a form of performing art.
