Nomad
Nomad is a solo tightwire performance by Hanna Moisala, destined for the outdoors and inspired by the Sahara desert in Africa. The performance combines the element of sand with the art of balancing through an improvised bodily narrative.The original music composed for the piece is an inventive fusion of a piano and a trumpet.
Sand incorporates the concepts of beginning and ending. Nomad is the story of all the nomads, who do not belong anywhere, but feel at home everywhere they go. We are all travelers in this cosmic journey, we feel, we dance, and we sense the incessant turbulence of eternity. We might stop to encounter each other, notice others around us, accept them, love them and share what we have. And keep a grain of sand as a souvenir.
