Portmanteau
A Portmanteau is a linguistic blend of words, in which parts of multiple words or their phones (sounds), and their meanings are combined into a new word.
Making use of old overhead projectors manipulated live on the stage and playing with abstract images projected on the space and on moving bodies, Portmanteau combines circus, dance, live music and visual arts.
Exploring themes of connection and interaction, Portmanteau creates poetic moments of encounters and disencounters between different identities, actions, images and art forms.
